at Western States Petroleum are proud of our history of serving
Arizona's Fuel, Oil and Lubricant needs. We would like to
share some of our company history...
In May
of 1975 Robert and Janet Kec purchased, what was then operating
as the Christy Oil Company and established Western States
Petroleum, Inc. Bob and Jan made the decision to continue
on with the long established tradition of being a Shell Oil
Jobbership. The land and property WSP operates on has been
a lubricant depot of one kind or another since 1925.
Conveniently
located in downtown Phoenix, with easy access for tankers
and rail cars to pick up and deliver product, WSP is now centrally
located for quick access to all sister
cities. The original
builders had no way of knowing in 1925 that the property would
become such a landmark and so centrally located for quick
service to the ever sprawling Valley Of The Sun.
Bob has
been an active member of the community and lubricant industry
for close to 35 years. He is the Past State President of the
Western Regional Petroleum Marketers Association (PMAA) and
is currently serving as the State Representative to PMAA.
In 2001, WSP became certified as a Enhanced Distributorship
of Equilon and was awarded the prestigious Quality Product
Assurance Golden Seal of Approval.
We opened our Parker Bulk Plant in
October 1998. We provide service to Parker, Lake Havasu and
surrounding communities, specializing in providing service
to our local
farming communities. To service the Northern,
Southern and Eastern portions of the state we have enjoyed
long term sub-jobber relationships with companies in Kingman,
Flagstaff, Winslow, Prescott, Tucson and Springerville.
As a Shell Jobbership we own and operate
the Shell Convenience Store and Station in Wickenburg, and
Carefree Service in Carefree. Carfree Service has a ASTM qualified
mechanic on duty in our two bay garage. We provide fuel and
support to several Shell Stations through out the valley.
We are also a Pacific Pride Commercial Fueling Franchisee.
We own and operate six fueling facilities and maintain a solid
portion of the commercial fueling business in the valley.
We are a wholesaler, a retailer, a
commercial fueling franchise and the best answer to any of
your lubricant, fueling or convenience store needs. We have
no quantity limitations for delivery. We offer oil analysis;
lube surveys, consumer training, flexible pricing, equipment
loans, and complete installs of tanks and lubricating equipment.
